Majestic video hood review by Matt Hinkle
Majestic PAC II SVZ & FYR HAWK hood review by Lt. Frazier – Tactical Advantage Training, LLC & First Due Questions:
“Greetings: I retired from being a volunteer firefighter for 28 years in the Washington DC area in 2004. I kept the Nomex hoods that were issued to me because they were great headgear for my regular job with a power company in the winter. In 2010, I retired and moved to Tennessee. That being said, in November 2010, I could not find my Nomex hoods for the upcoming winter, I contacted my daughter who is a paid firefighter and asked Santa for a new Nomex hood. For Christmas, Santa delivered. I started a part time job this past Christmas loading frozen food in to delivery trucks. My job also includes unloading tractor trailers full of frozen food in to the depots freezer, where the temperature averages -16 to -20 below.
I wish to say that your hood has not let me down in keeping my head and neck warm. Yes I do need to wear an additional knit hat or another hood because of the temperature; but the bottom line is the hood is warm and comfortable. If I were to join another volunteer fire department again, I would take the hood with me without hesitation."
The model that I have is: Nomex PAC III- ARC Rating (ATPV:11.2 Hazard Risk Category 2)
I sent you a thank you from West Virginia. Your hood did its job up there. Down here in Texas we do not get winter storms like that. Oh wait, that was a hurricane. I texted Janeane on my flip phone so It was difficult to carry on a conversation. Thank you for a perfect product. I work in Texas, we all use your hoods.
